Grants of up to $1,000 to Albany, California public school teachers for specific educational activities that enrich existing programs and positive curricula or programs that are already taking place. Proposed projects should directly involve and benefit students and offer a unique learning opportunity that would otherwise be unavailable due to lack of alternative resources.

Additionally, projects should enable community or volunteer involvement, interdisciplinary or team teaching, or multi-age student groupings. Projects should comply with all Albany Unified School District policies and regulations.

To apply, an educator needs an AEF Educator Log-in. Click here to register:

A lead applicant working by him/herself with his/her log-in or the lead applicant and any or all co-applicants working together using their individual log-ins may complete an application. The lead applicant must complete the Points of Agreement for each application.

Complete applications will include:
-the full project or trip description including the expense sheet,
-"signed" points of agreement form,
-the principal's endorsement, and
-it will be submitted to AEF by the application deadline.

Principal Endorsement: Once (1) the full project or trip description including the expense sheet and (2) points of agreement form have been completed and submitted to the AEF website, the principal will receive an email informing him/her that there is an application awaiting review with a link to that application. The principal must endorse or deny the application before the deadline.

Notification: All co-applicants will receive an email informing them when the principal has acted on the application. Therefore, we recommend that educators personally tell their principals when they have submitted an application and remind them to review it until they receive the email that it has been reviewed.
