Randolph Education Foundation
Grants of up to $10,000 to local New Jersey teachers and other school staff members who are proposing new and innovative ways to enhance the relevance of learning for today’s students while also strengthening the relationships between students, teachers, administrators, and parents within the Randolph Township School District. For the purposes of these grants, "relevance for today's students" refers to learning in which students apply core knowledge, concepts, or skills to solve real world problems.
While “best practices” have been used for decades in education, the REF seeks to fund “next practices” – fresh ideas in education that aim to teach in non-traditional, innovative ways. Some examples of “next practice” teaching strategies might be: creating interdisciplinary classrooms, developing learning networks across grades or schools, giving students hands-on experiences, or using new technologies.
