Grants to Colorado nonprofit organizations for community benefit programs in eligible regions. Funding is intended for programs addressing early childhood education, financial stability, youth programs, and health and crisis services. Priority funding will be given to programs that serve low-income and at-risk populations. Programs should benefit residents of Routt County.

2020 Impact Areas & Priorities:

Early Childhood Education: Birth to 8 years of age

  • RCUW seeks to increase access for children into quality preschools. It also is interested in literacy, kindergarten preparation and other early childhood development programs.

Youth Success: 9 to 17 years of age

  • Transitions are sometimes tough for young people, particularly at-risk youth. Routt County United Way seeks programs and initiatives that will support the successful transition of elementary school students into middle school, of middle school students into high school and of high school students into adulthood.

Financial Stability: Individuals and couples 18 years and older

  • With 20% of the population in Routt County living below the county self-sufficiency standard, many individuals and families are struggling to stay in their homes and make ends meet.

Health & Crisis Services: All ages

  • Crisis services are essential to the health and safety of members in the community.
