Description:

Request a Grant Writer

Grants typically of up to $1,000 will be awarded in Ohio to faculty and staff of the Westerville City School District for projects that directly impact the students. The proposed project must be enduring, creative and innovative, not just for one classroom but for the school and district. Priority will be given to proposals that will enable students to develop critical skills and to understand the world differently.

Programs and activities should provide opportunities for students to develop their ability to see patterns, make connections, create their own meaning and to embrace a “sense of wonder.”

Not funded:
Multiple grants for the same project.
Travel or professional development for staff member.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Typically up to $1,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Faculty and staff of the Westerville City School District, Ohio

If the project will continue beyond the period of the grant, you must have a plan for sustaining the grant after WEF funding ends.

Only one grant will be awarded for any one specific project.

Repeating a project already funded as an innovation grant in one school/classroom is unlikely to be approved a second time as an innovation, even if new for the school. Applicants are encouraged to review the list of recently approved grants to see what has already been funded as innovative.

Pre-Application Information:

If technology is involved in your grant proposal, discuss with the Office of Communication and Technology to ensure the technology fits within the District technology plan (or if not, be prepared to identify funding for service).
