Heritage Fund – Community Foundation of Bartholomew County
Grants of up to $5,000 to Bartholomew County, Indiana nonprofit organizations for programs that empower women. Applications are invited for new, diverse, and emerging programs that aim to improve the lives of women and their families. The Foundation will also consider existing programs which may be updated, enhanced, or broader for increased impact.
All requests must be for programs which address the following focus areas:
-Self Sufficiency for Women - Providing women and their families with the tools necessary to become self-sufficient. Including but not limited to, providing access to opportunities for education and mentoring; job application and interview skills; health issues; developing the knowledge and skills to make informed and effective financial decisions.
-Education Opportunities for Women and Youth - Providing educational opportunities for women and youth. Including but not limited to preK programs; high school graduation attainment; continuing education for women and programs encouraging girls and women into non-traditional career fields.
-Parental Support - Including but not limited to, helping parents and caregivers create a healthy, supportive family environment; providing for the needs of families who are caring for children with physical, mental, emotional or other types of challenges; families dealing with the challenges of raising teens.
-Women in Crisis - Including but not limited to, providing women in unsafe situations the support to establish a productive life; dealing with homeless causes; women who are faced with the challenges of providing support for elderly parents and ill spouses.
-Empowerment - Empowering women in the workplace, marketplace, social sectors, and community.

The WGCBC will issue grants not to exceed $5,000.
Grant requests should be rounded to the nearest one hundred dollars.
Projects must be started by January 2018.
