National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy
Awards to outstanding USA grantmaking organizations and institutions whose work and achievements have made a significant, positive impact on the residents in their communities during 2013. These awards are intended to recognize those organizations that are maximizing the effectiveness of their philanthropy by: attacking the root causes of social problems, empowering underserved communities, and helping improve the sector as a whole through public leadership.
There will be one awardee for each of the eligible categories of grantmakers (see eligibility section below).

The following types of grantmaking organizations may apply:
- Large, Private Foundations (whose annual giving amounts to $25 million or more)
- Small/Mid-Sized Private Foundations (whose annual giving amounts to less than $25 million)
- Corporate Foundations
- Grantmaking Public Charities (this category includes community foundations, United Ways, public foundations, and other types of grantmaking public charities)
