Grants of up to $500 to Kansas nonprofit and faith-based organizations, schools, and government agencies for programs and projects that benefit the community in eligible locations. Funding is intended to promote charitable community programs and support vital services that benefit elderly residents. Eligible applicants serve the Goessel area.

The purpose of the Goessel Community Foundation (GCF) grant cycle is to promote community service and community projects/programs that focus on the enhancement of the Goessel community.  The funds for this grant cycle are the Goessel Community Impact Fund, which supports charitable projects/programs that benefit those in the Goessel community, and the Goessel Community Seniors Endowed Fund, designed to support services to Goessel area senior citizens, including but not limited to food and nutrition, health and wellness, transportation and mobility support, and social activities.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Funding requests should not exceed $500.

Term of Contract:

- The project/program cannot occur until after grants are estimated to be made (April 2021)
- The project/program must be completed by January 10, 2022, unless additional considerations are shared prior to the completion of the project/program

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To apply for this opportunity, your organization must meet the following requirements:
- Possess 501(c)(3) status under the Internal Revenue Service code, be exempt under statute (i.e. educational institution, church, a city or county), or be formally linked to an organization with such designation
- Management should be in the hands of reliable, ethical, and experienced personnel

Pre-Application Information:

An application must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021.

The organization must have completed a follow-up report, if it was funded in the previous year. For an organization that has requested and received a COVID-19 extension in 2020, please contact Michelle Critchfield in regard to this requirement.
