Grants to Norman, Oklahoma nonprofits for health, education, independence, and financial programs that impact the community. A letter of intent is due on January 29, 2018. The Foundation focuses on long-term goals, such as improving the health and safety of children and adults, reducing the risky behavior of children, and increasing the economic stability of families in the community. Collaboration and creativity are encouraged.
The United Way of Norman is accepting proposals that support the following impact areas in the Norman community.
Examples of funded initiatives include disaster readiness and response, health and wellness programs, outreach and prevention, therapeutic counseling, child abuse prevention, substance abuse education, mental health treatment, and domestic violence intervention.
Examples of funded initiatives include residential programs for disabled adults, aging services, meal delivery, and volunteer placement.
Examples of funded initiatives include vocational programs, financial assistance, legal aid to disadvantaged persons, and emergency shelter to the homeless.
Examples of funded initiatives include mentoring, career development, sports and recreation, and programs for the arts.

The Request For Proposal (RFP) Process allows qualified non-profit organizations to submit program proposals aligned with United Way of Norman's Community Impact Goals.
The FY2019 Letter of Intent application will be available January 15, 2018 and the request for proposal will be available on February 5, 2018.
