Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 to Long Beach, California public school teachers in grades PreK-3, including special education teachers, for innovative classroom reading and literacy projects. Funding may be used to purchase books, e-books, training programs, teaching aides, or other educational materials for the current school year or for the 2018-19 school year.

Applications will be judged on creativity, uniqueness, and emphasis on preparing students to be ready to read at grade level by age 9.

Grants will be awarded March 31, 2018.

Teachers receiving awards may be invited to present their project at a Rotary Club Long Beach luncheon.
