Description:

Grants to local Illinois non-profit organizations that provide reliable, effective, and high-quality social services for community members of the Village of Vernon Hills. These grants are intended to support organizations offering residents and families the opportunity to work through a broad range of difficulties, including (but not limited to):

Depression, suicide, domestic violence, sexual assault, marital conflict, and youth problems (such as substance abuse, runaway, and parent-child conflict).

As in the past several years, funds are limited; however, the Village of Vernon Hills understands the vital importance of the services local agencies provide the community with. The Village anticipates the grant amount available for 2014 will be similar to the amount funded in 2013, which was a total of $26,000.
