Grants to Georgia government agencies and nonprofit organizations for housing initiatives. Applicants must complete required registrations prior to submitting a proposal. Funding is intended to support housing for low- and moderate-income residents. Proposals must serve Gwinnett County.

The HOME Program, created through the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990, provides grant funds to help create and preserve affordable housing for low- and moderate-income households.

HOME funds may be requested for activities that fall within the following categories:

  • New Construction
  • Land Acquisition;
  • Single -Family Acquisition/Rehabilitation/Disposition;
  • Multi -Family Acquisition/Rehabilitation/Disposition;
  • Tenant Based Rental Assistance.

Funds may be used to construct, reconstruct, and rehabilitate single-family and multi-family housing. Down payment assistance is also available to qualifying low- and moderate-income first-time homebuyers.

- Must be registered to conduct business in the State of Georgia at the time of Application.
- 501(c)(3) Certification
