In-kind grants valued at $350 to Illinois organizations for community gardening projects in eligible locations. The grants are awarded in the form of vouchers, which may be used for seeds, plants, and materials. Funding is intended to support urban community gardens in Cook County.
Goal: To develop urban community awareness of agriculture through gardening, provide additional funding to meet garden goals and connect gardens with area farmers/businesses for potential plant and garden material sales.
