Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $2,000 to Cook County, Illinois PreK-12 public school educators and administrators for project-based learning initiatives that benefit students in the Chicago Public School System. Eligible projects will be creative hands-on educational opportunities that enhance and go beyond the school curriculum. The project should end with a culminating activity.

Up to 9 teachers, including the contact teacher, may apply for one grant. Any teacher listed as a project member must be actively involved in creating and carrying out the grant.

No money will be awarded for computers, LCD projectors, teacher stipends, food/beverages, school fundraisers, equipment, uniforms, materials, etc. that are not being used for a specific project.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Up to $2,000.

Term of Contract:

Projects must be completed by Tuesday June 30th, 2015.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

-All certified CPS personnel are eligible to apply, including administrators, counselors and social workers from pre-kindergarten through Grade 12.

-Charter schools that serve CPS students are eligible to apply.

Pre-Application Information:

ONLINE applications must be submitted by Wednesday October 1st, 2014 and HARD COPIES must be received by midnight Wednesday October 1st, 2014.
