Community Capital Fund (CCF)

Grants of up to $5,000 to Missouri and Kansas nonprofit organizations and neighborhood associations in eligible counties to strengthen communities in low- to moderate-income areas. Funding is intended to support initiatives that benefit residents in under-resourced neighborhoods, with a specific focus on historically underinvested neighborhoods. The newly expanded geographic area includes Jackson, Clay, Platte, and Cass counties in Missouri, as well as Wyandotte, Johnson, and Leavenworth counties in Kansas.
The NRF funds solutions for communities, created by community residents. The NRF prioritizes grantmaking for projects that are responsive to neighborhood needs and representative of the community's collective vision for its future. The NRF awards grants to projects and initiatives that demonstrate broad-based community support and have been vetted through inclusive, neighborhood-wide decision-making and resident-involvement processes. Typically, NRF projects come from priorities expressed by neighborhoods over the last five-six years, including initiatives around:

The award cap for this year’s one-year grants is $5,000.
This year the NRF includes two-year award options of up to $5,000 per year.
Applicants for one-year grants should have the organizational capacity to complete the project by Dec. 15, 2021.
Applicants for two-year grants should have the organizational capacity to complete the first phase of the project by Dec. 15, 2021 and the second phase of the project by Dec. 15, 2022.
