Grants to Ontario nonprofit organizations in eligible locations for cultural events that benefit the local community. Some applicants are required to attend an information session before submitting a proposal. Funding is intended to support operational expenses associated with providing a clean and safe venue for the presentation of public arts, culture, and heritage celebrations and festivals. Funded activities must serve the residents of Mississauga.

The Cultural Festivals and Celebrations (CFC) Grant program is designed to align with the vision of Mississauga’s Culture Master Plan by supporting a range of activities reflecting the City’s many cultural traditions and practices. The City is committed to the long-term growth and sustainability of culture and the quality of life of its resident.

CFC grants provide assistance in four categories:

  1. New and Emerging Festivals and Celebrations
  2. Established Festivals and Celebrations
  3. Major One-Time Events
  4. Multi-Year Funded Festivals

For more information about these categories, see:

  1. Inter-Cultural Reach
  2. Building Artistic and Economic Impact in Mississauga
  3. Strengthening Governance
  4. Organizational Sustainability

For additional information regarding these priorities, see:
