Grants ranging from $1,000 to $4,000 to New Hampshire K-12 educators in Portsmouth, Greenland, New Castle, Newington and Rye for creative programs and curriculum enhancements that are not covered by standard school budgets. Funding is intended to enhance student academic achievement through innovation and new teaching practices

The foundation has have identified the following priorities for evaluating grant proposals. Preference will be given to proposals that:

  • Create programs that are innovative and connect to the curriculum
  • Explore new teaching practices
  • Include experiential, cross-disciplinary, or multi-grade learning experiences
  • Build community connections
  • Enable clear and demonstrable growth in student learning
  • Achieve goals that are aligned with SAU 50 and 52
  • Create programs that have the potential to be replicated and benefit the school or district rather than a single classroom

Preference will be given to proposals that:

Estimated Size of Grant:

Typical grant awards will be $1,000 to $4,000 but grant applications of any size will be considered.

Term of Contract:

Grant proceeds must be used during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Clipper Foundation is actively soliciting grant proposals from Educators in SAU #50 and #52 (Portsmouth, Greenland, New Castle, Newington and Rye).

The Clipper Foundation is unable to fund programs that should otherwise be funded by school budgets.

Pre-Application Information:

Timeline:
- Late October 2019: Request for Proposal Available
- November 2019-January 2020: Individual office hours with CF board members at each school to assist in grant
development
- Sunday, January 26, 2020, 5:00 PM: Grant Submission Deadline
- Friday, February 21, 2020: Grant applicants notified of funding decisions by this date
- Wednesday, March 25, 2020: Grant Award Ceremony
