Grants to Victoria, British Columbia, Canada community associations for innovative projects to improve their neighborhoods. The projects must involve a broad base of people to promote community development and build connections. They must also provide a public benefit and create a new tangible product.

The neighborhood matches the City’s contribution with donated materials, cash, or volunteer labor.

Projects can fall in one of the following categories:
• Neighborhood planning
• Neighborhood improvements
• School partnership projects
• Program development
• Capital equipment acquisition.

Projects must be completed within 12 months following award.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applications are welcome from neighborhood-based non-profit associations. This is defined as: “a group of people organized as a non-profit society for the purpose of considering and acting on a broad range of issues affecting the liveability and quality of their neighborhoods.”

Joint applications from more than one neighborhood organization working together on a project are encouraged.

Applications cannot be considered from individuals or single businesses, institutions, religious organizations, government agencies, political groups or service clubs.
