Grant of $500 to an Alberta individual and grants of $1,000 to groups for local environmental protection programs in eligible regions. Funding is intended to support environmental activities that are initiated and implemented by youth. Eligible projects are those that benefit Calgary or the surrounding area.

Two allocations for groups ($1,000 per group), and one allocation for an individual applicant ($500).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applications are accepted from individuals, and organizations and schools may apply for group grants.

To be eligible, applicants must be based in Calgary or surrounding area.

Funds will not be allocated to for-profit ventures or businesses, for conference fees or tuition costs, or as pass-throughs to other organizations or charities.

- Applications for the 2021 Jack Leslie Youth Environmental Grant will open: November 2020.
- Application Deadline: January 6, 2021, 11:00 pm
- Selection Announcement: January 22, 2021
- Awards Ceremony: Due to the ongoing pandemic, a virtual awards ceremony will be held on February 4, 2021.
