Grants ranging from $3,000 to $8,000 to Alberta registered charitable organizations to support special projects that directly benefit animals. Funding is available for public and animal education programs, capital projects, and services for animals brought to a shelter.

Preference will be given to those seeking funds for the purchase of equipment and supplies.

Approximately four to five grants are issued each year.

Grants from the Fund typically range from $3,500 to $7,500 (suggested range: $3,000 to $8,000).

While all applications will be considered on their own merits, 2017 applications will be encouraged from smaller organizations, in particular (operating budgets under $1 million).
