Grants of up to $1,500 to Ontario registered charities in eligible locations for activities that strengthen the local community. Funding can be used for projects that align with the following areas of focus: the environment, housing, health, arts and culture, belonging and leadership, and the gap between rich and poor. Funding is intended to directly impact local residents in Centre Wellington.

Grants for 2022 should support projects that better the community and should address one of the six theme areas from the Vital Signs 2019 report. CWCF produces its Centre Wellington Vital Signs report to identify potential areas to guide funding decisions.

Project Grants provides grants of up to $1,500.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Project Grants provides grants to registered charities impacting Centre Wellington. The program also welcomes applications from non-profits who partner with a registered charity.

Project Grants are not meant for: Core funding, deficit reduction, political or religious activities, fundraising campaigns, retroactive funding.

Pre-proposal Conference:

For those interested in applying for a Project Grant, a free virtual public information session will take place on March 14 at 7:00 PM.

The application process opens on April 1 and closes on April 29 at 5:00 PM. The grant recipients will be announced at the beginning of June.

Grant decisions will be made in May and announced in early June 2022. All applicants will be contacted at that time. Public announcements about the grants are usually made at the Annual Public Meeting in June. CWCF will decide how to do this in 2022 and announce it closer to the date. CWCF asks that a representative of organizations receiving grants attend.
