Grants of up to $5,000 to Nevada nonprofit organizations, agencies, schools, libraries, and IHEs for a range of arts and cultural projects. Funding is intended for a single activity or a number of connected activities, including performances, art exhibits, festivals, readings, and learning programs.

These programs contribute to the health and diversity of Nevada’s economy and workforce, increasing tourism, strengthening communities, and fostering education through the arts.

Funds must be used for relevant project expenses including artist fees, production expenses, marketing, planning, and program evaluation.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nevada 501(c)(3)* incorporated nonprofit organizations (arts and non-arts) and public institutions including federally recognized tribes, state or local government, schools, public libraries, and institutions of higher education are eligible to apply.

Fiscal Agents may be used in this grant category for organizations without 501(c)(3) status.

Funds may not be used for:
- General operating support (including staff salaries)
- Purchase of permanent equipment
- Pre-K through 12th grade classes, workshops, or programs

Pre-proposal Conference:

Artists, educators, nonprofit organizations and public institutions interested in funding from the the Nevada Arts Council are encouraged to participate in one of its free grants workshops scheduled throughout the state in November.

The workshops will focus on the Nevada Arts Council grant program for Fiscal year 2021 (July 1, 2020-June 30, 2021), applying for a grant using the Nevada Arts Council online grant management system, and preparing competitive and compelling grant applications.

The seven workshops start Nov. 5 in Carson City and conclude Nov. 21 in Pahrump. Other sites are Elko, Reno, Winnemucca, Fallon and Las Vegas.
