Grants ranging from $300 to $3,000 to Thurston County, Washington early childhood education programs, school districts, and K-3 curriculums to enhance early learning opportunities for children from birth through third grade. This program seeks to provide a solid educational foundation for lifelong success.

The Olympia Tumwater Foundation, in its efforts to increase and enhance educational programs in Thurston County, is dedicated to providing educators with funds to implement and administer learning opportunities that go beyond the basic available funding of the program. 

Applications will be evaluated based on the following goals of the grant program:

  • To stimulate student creativity and motivation to learn.
  • To enhance the current learning environment.
  • To leave a lasting impact on as many students as possible.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Individual grants vary in size from around $300 to $3,000.

Term of Contract:

Projects may take place during the 2019 - 2020 school year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grants are offered to school districts, early childhood education programs, and K-3 curriculums located in Thurston County.

Applications for teacher/staff training are excluded.

Pre-Application Information:

Grant Application must be received by October 25, 2019 in the Olympia Tumwater Foundation office.
Award letters will be mailed in mid-November.

Any equipment purchased with grant funds will become the property of your school district or organization.
