Grants to Arizona nonprofit health and human service organizations in eligible locations for services to vulnerable populations. Funding is intended to provide for the basic needs of individuals with disabilities or mental health disorders, low and moderate income residents, seniors, youth, and people experiencing housing crises.

The CNA findings suggested the annual prioritization process for Chandler funds allocated for human services respond to the top areas of need including:

  • Housing for all incomes
  • Behavioral health
  • Homelessness
  • Better communications
  • Transportation
  • Social Isolation
  • Food Insecurity

The CNA also identified six populations in need with the following characteristics:

  • People experiencing homelessness and/or housing crisis
  • Households with low and moderate income
  • Seniors who are isolated or have low household incomes
  • Youth who are isolated or have low household incomes
  • People living with mental health and/or substance use disorders
  • People living with physical and/or intellectual disabilities

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered for funding, organizations must meet the following qualifications (including but not limited to):
- Be a 501(c)(3) health and human service organization
- Meet audit requirements based on the organizational budget
- Physically located in the City of Chandler unless there is no Chandler-based service provider meeting the identified need; serves Chandler organizations or residents, or if physically located outside Chandler then collaborates with a Chandler-based agency to provide services to Chandler residents
