Request a Grant Writer

Grants to Central Minnesota nonprofit and for-profit organizations for a broad range of activities that benefit residents in eligible counties. Application decisions will be made according to applicant need and funding availability. Activities must benefit residents in Stearns, Morrison, Todd, Pope, Douglas, and Kandiyohi counties.

The following factors will be considered in the evaluation of all funding requests:

  • Potential Benefit to Area Residents and the Entire Community
  • Level of Community Support for the Program, Project or the Organization Requesting Funds
  • Fiscal and Administrative Capability of the Organization to Deliver a Quality Service or Program
  • Results that are Predictable

Operation Round Up funds have been used to help:

  • Youth Organizations
  • Senior Organizations
  • Food Shelves
  • Community Organizations
  • School Scholarships
  • Local Environmental Projects
  • Park and Lake Associations
  • Health Groups
  • To Provide Life-Saving Equipment for Local Emergency Responders
  • Sports and Recreation Groups
  • Personal Medical Needs

Applicants may indicate the following designations on the application form:
- For-Profit
- Nonprofit

Priority will be given to Stearns Electric Association Members.

Generally, it is possible to qualify for funding if your project and/or organization does not fall into any of the following categories:

- Lobbyists or Political and Religious Organizations
- Fraternal and Labor Organizations
- Capital Fund Campaigns
- National Fund Drives
- Advertising
- Field Trips

Pre-Application Information:

Applications for the July funding meeting need to be submitted no later than October 16, 2020.
