United Way of North Idaho - Community Care Fund

Grants to North Idaho nonprofits and agencies in eligible counties for health, education, and financial stability programs that improve the local quality of life. Organizations may apply from the following eligible counties: Boundary, Benewah, Shoshone, Bonner, and Kootenai. Funding may be used for staffing, administrative, operational, and supply expenses.
Programs must align with one of 14 investment priorities:
Children enter school ready and are successful in primary school; youth gain the knowledge, skills, and credentials to obtain family-sustaining employment.
1. School readiness
2. Early-grade literacy
3. Youth development
4. Life skills
Individuals and families attain financial stability by lowering costs and accessing benefits; individuals attain family-sustaining jobs that offer the opportunity for advancement.
5. Job skills training
6. Financial empowerment
7. Legal support
8. Crisis assistance
10. Independent living
Individuals and families lead healthy lives through access to quality medical services including physical, dental, and mental health; encompasses efforts to create healthy systems and environments.
12. Access to healthcare
13. Health education and preventative care
14. Domestic/family violence prevention and intervention

Grants will be awarded for a period of one year, with the possibility of an additional year renewal.
Nonprofits and agencies with an EIN are eligible to apply.
Application deadline is October 15, 2018 by 5:00 PM.
