Habitat Heroes Mini-Grants

Cornell Lab of Ornithology, with funding by Pennington Wild Bird Food

Agency: Foundation

GrantWatch ID #144138

Grant Description

Previous Page Version

Grants ranging from $100 to $750 to USA schools to create or expand a bird-friendly schoolyard habitat action plan with an educational component. As projects are funded on an ongoing basis from January through June, interested applicants should submit their applications as soon as possible. Funds may be used for feeders, seed, curriculum materials, native plants, and more.

Diverse schoolyard habitats are encouraged, as they will attract a wider variety of birds. Projects may create diverse food sources, such as plants in addition to feeders, water sources, ponds, and baths, and areas of dense shrubbery and shelter for birds.
