Grant Description
Grants of up to $250 to Virginia K-12 teachers in public and private schools to promote and expand economic and financial education programs in their classrooms. Funding is intended to strengthen education programs and enhance students' learning in these areas.

All grant projects will be considered for an additional award of up to $250 and recognition at an Awards Luncheon. Decisions will be based on grant reports with particular emphasis on evidence of student learning of economics and/or personal finance. Particular attention will be given to those using an authentic assessment to measure student learning.

Additional Eligibility Criteria
Virginia K-12 teachers in public or private schools are eligible to apply.

Pre-Application Information
Grant applications must be received by VCEE by November 1, 2017. Decisions will be made and checks mailed in early December 2017.

Estimated Size of Grant
Grants are up to $250. The most effective projects will be eligible for additional cash awards of up to $250.
