Grants to Medina County, Ohio nonprofit organizations for activities that promote the fine and performing arts and enhance the artistic and cultural experiences of local residents. Funding may be used for general operating expenses or for special projects such as guest artists’ fees, play royalties, and publicity.

The Council seeks to assist and support existing groups and individuals who are engaged in efforts designed to enhance the arts. The Council provides this support and assistance through planning, co-ordinating, initiating, expanding, complementing, educating and strengthening programs, awareness, and research in the arts.

Term of Contract:

The funds must be used within the 2018 calendar year (Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2018).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility:
- The requesting nonprofit organization must be located in Medina County.
- The requesting nonprofit organization must have 501(c) status.
- Profits from any event or special project of the requesting organization shall be used to promote the arts in Medina County.
- The Mission Statement of requesting organization must have an arts focus.

Use of Grant Money:
- The Medina County Arts Council does not provide funds for tangible property (i.e. paint, costumes, equipment, etc.) therefore grant applications should not request monies to purchase these types of items.
- Appropriate requests include financial support for general operating expenses, or for special projects such as guest artists’ fees, play royalties, publicity, etc.

Pre-Application Information:

Grant Period:
- Grant applications will be accepted annually from December 1, 2018 to February 28, 2019.
- Any applications received after February 28th will not be considered.
- All grants will be reviewed in March and approved with an amount in April.
- Applicants will be informed of decisions by May 15th of each year.
