Grants to Ohio nonprofit, faith-based, educational, and recovery organizations in eligible regions to enhance and promote the arts in the community. Grant funds may be requested to support general operations or for special projects including play royalties, guest artists’ fees, and publicity. Applicants must be located in Medina County.

The purpose of the Medina County Arts Council is to provide Medina County with an enhanced and broadened cultural life. The Council shall encourage and stimulate the practice and appreciation of the arts in Medina County and shall provide the people of Medina County with opportunities in their own communities to participate in, experience and enjoy the arts. The Council’s role shall be to assist and support existing groups and individuals who are engaged in efforts designed to enhance the arts. The Council shall provide this support and assistance through advocating for, supporting and nurturing the arts.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, applicant organizations must have 501(c)(3) status or be associated with educational, religious or recovery organizations.

- The requesting nonprofit organization must be located in Medina County.
- The requesting nonprofit organization must have 501(c)(3) status or be a not-for-profit educational, religious, or recovery institution.
- Profits from any event or special project of the requesting organization shall be used to promote the arts in Medina County.
- The mission of the requesting organization or for a specific project must have an arts focus.

The Medina County Arts Council does not provide funds for tangible property (i.e. paint, costumes, equipment, etc.) therefore grant applications should not request monies to purchase these types of items.

Pre-Application Information:

The application window runs from February 1 to March 31, 2022.

Open Grant Period:
- Grant applications will be accepted annually from February 1, 2022 to March 31, 2022
- Any applications received after March 31, 2022 will not be considered.
- All grants will be reviewed in April 2022
- Applicants will be informed of decisions by May 15, 2022
