Grants to Colorado nonprofit organizations for initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents in eligible regions. Applicants must contact the Funding Source to obtain an application. Priority is given to programs that serve vulnerable adults, at-risk children, and other underserved populations. Eligible programs should benefit residents of Douglas County.

Douglas County’s preference is to award grants in support of programs that enhance the quality of life and improve self-sufficiency for residents.

The funds may be used broadly for charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes. Strong consideration will be given to applicants that demonstrate solid partnership-building skills and leveraging grants heavily.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

All 501(c)3 or 501(c)4 organizations serving Douglas County residents are welcome to apply.

The emphasis is on funding safety net services for underserved populations such as at-risk children and vulnerable adults, as opposed to organizational operating expenses or salaries.

Organizations already receiving a significant contribution from County funds are not eligible to apply for Philip S. Miller funding.

Pre-Application Information:

Grant applications are due February 18, 2020, and will be reviewed in the spring. Awards will be determined in the second quarter and funds are generally available in a one-time payment.
