Grant Description

Merit award to a Connecticut elementary school for excellence and outstanding service to students and the community. The purpose of the award is to give public recognition to an elementary school that deserves accolades for exemplary programs, leadership, inclusion, innovation and success in meeting the needs of elementary school students.

Schools must be members of the Connecticut Association of Schools.

The school chosen will receive recognition in the media, in CAS publications, at a CAS sponsored ceremony in their community as well as a presentation in their school or district.

Eligibility:

  • Others (see text field entitled "Additional Eligibility Criteria" for clarification)

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Elementary School must be a member of CAS.

Pre-Application Information:

Nominations may be made by any present or former member of the school staff or by district central office personnel.

Only one application per district will be accepted.

Selected school will be recognized at the CAS Celebration of Excellence on November 19, 2014.
