Grants to Colorado recreational clubs to maintain recreational winter trails. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for programs to ensure quality and safe experiences for the public through adequate snowmobile trail grooming and trail signing.

The following guidelines are used when determining allocations to the winter trail grooming program:

  • Continuation of the effective grooming services from prior years.
  • Providing safe, quality winter trails for the snowmobiling public and other trail users through adequate grooming and trail signing.
  • Providing for the expansion of maintained winter trail systems through new snowmobile trail grooming agreements.
  • Providing well maintained winter trail systems in order to help support the winter economy of small mountain communities.

Snowmobile clubs are eligible to apply. Permits must be submitted.

Applications must be received by Colorado Parks and Wildlife no later than 5:00pm on Monday, August 10, 2020

Allocation amounts will be finalized at the August 15, 2020 CSA quarterly meeting and your District Representatives will have that information to disseminate to the clubs. The allocation worksheet will also be posted on CSA’s website following the meeting.

Clubs need to acquire a DUNS number as RTP (Federal funds) are used as part of the grooming allocation. C​​lubs should also register on​.
