Grants to Alberta rural nonprofit community groups to support cemetery operations. Funding is intended for general cemetery maintenance and general operating expenses such as grass cutting. Grant funding may vary depending on the size of the cemetery. Grant funding is available to nonprofits in Red Deer County.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Red Deer County has grant funding available to rural non-profit community groups in the County who are operating a cemetery.

Eligible applicants should have status under the Societies Act or the Cemeteries Act. Those applicants that do not have status shall indicate this on the application form.

Applications for the purchase of capital items, repair, maintenance or enhancement of the cemetery will not be considered under this program.

Pre-Application Information:

Complete applications for funding are to be forwarded to the Community Services Department prior to October 1st of each calendar year.
