Grants of up to $1,500 to Oregon individuals and groups for arts and cultural projects in eligible locations. The purpose of the program is to expand awareness of local cultural heritage, identity, and resources and to increase residents' participation in activities related to the arts, heritage, and the humanities. To apply for a grant, an individual or group must present a proposal to benefit the residents of Josephine County.

Note that JCCC does not intend to annually fund any one specific project. Proposals must meet one or more of the following JCCC priorities:

  • Increase the educational opportunities for arts, heritage, and humanities for children.
  • Encourage more cultural celebrations.
  • Increase public art (public art is interpreted to mean sculpture and other objects in the public view).
  • Expand awareness of cultural opportunities.
  • Increase participation in the arts, heritage, and humanities.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Groups and individuals are invited to submit a grant application.

Josephine County Cultural Coalitions grants do NOT fund the following:
- General operating support
- Indirect costs not directly associated with implementation of the project
- Technology costs (new computers, Square hardware, and so on).
- Scholarship or tuition assistance for college, university or other formal degree course of study
- Projects that have been substantially completed by the start of the grant cycle
- Requests to offset previous project expenses or deficits
- Events whose primary focus is to raise funds for a non-cultural cause
- Projects in which artists are not paid a living wage

Pre-Application Information:

Email your grant application package by 11:59 pm Pacific Time on November 10, 2021. Emailed proposals must be received by the deadline to be considered.

Grant cycle timeline
- September 15, 2021: Grant cycle opens
- November 10, 2021: Grant cycle closes at 11:59 pm Pacific Time
- December 2021: Applicants are notified of award or denial
- May 31, 2022: Interim project report due
- December 31, 2022: Project completed and final report due
