Request a Grant Writer

Grants to Cuyahoga County, Ohio nonprofits for education and human services programs that benefit residents of the City of Cleveland. Priority is given to programs in the following four critical areas: early childhood enrichment, school retention, STEM education, and workforce readiness.

More details on the priority areas are as follows:

Early childhood enrichment:
Programs which enhance the learning environment; provide support, training and ancillary services to parents; and/or enhance the recruitment and training of day care providers.

School retention:
Programs that support completion of high school and college access as well as those that emphasize the critical transition issues that occur during early teenage years and affect family relationships and school attendance.

STEM:
Programs that support education in science, technology, engineering, and math

Workforce readiness:
Programs that result in employment preparation, support systems, and the relationship to earning potential.

Organizations and programs that contribute generally to the quality of life in Greater Cleveland may also be considered at the Foundation's discretion.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicant organizations must:
- Be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.
- Be located in Cuyahoga County and your services and facilities must primarily serve residents of the City of Cleveland.
- Have submitted an interim or final report on any previous grants before a new request can be considered.

Restrictions:
Applicants are discouraged from submitting requests for endowment, general operating support, research, symposia, or seminars. No grants are awarded to individuals. The Foundation does not respond to general solicitations or annual fundraising campaigns.

Proposals must be submitted on the due date by end of day. You will be notified within two weeks of the Discretionary Charitable Trust Committee Meeting by mail if your organization received funding or if funding has been denied.
