Grants of up to $5,000 to USA college and university mathematics teachers to advance the use of a student-driven teaching style in a summer, winter, or regular-term course. Eligible activities include the development of course materials, organizing seminars, and other activities directly addressing the need to support and advance the use of this form of instruction at the college level.
The purpose of these grants is to increase the use of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) in mathematics education through development of an IBL course or dissemination of IBL methods. More information about the IBL teaching style may be found here: http://www.inquirybasedlearning.org/?page=What_is_IBL
