Grant Description

Grants to Ohio nonprofit organizations, schools, and faith-based entities to enhance the lives of women in eligible locations. First-time applicants must contact program staff prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended for programs and activities that help to strengthen and empower women in Ashland County.

Grants may be used to enhance the economic independence, innovative leadership, skills development, and resources of the community's women. Support is provided for project grants, program development, seed money, equipment, capital campaigns, and matching/challenge grants.

Additional Eligibility Criteria

Women's Fund grants are competitive grants awarded to 501(c)(3) and other qualifying charitable organizations contributing to the community-wide benefit of women.

Ineligible

Support is not provided for:
- grants to individuals
- political purposes
- annual campaigns
- existing endowment funds
- cash reserves/debt reduction
- religious organizations for religious purposes.

Pre-Application Information

The grant application must be completed and submitted, with all required information and uploads, by 11:59 p.m. on May 15, 2023.

Prior to application submission, first-time applicants are required to interview with Foundation staff prior to application submission. Contact the Foundation office to schedule your appointment at least two weeks prior to submission. Repeat applicants are not required to interview with staff prior to application submission. However, this interview option is available should you choose.

Grant award notification is made on or about June 30.
