Grants toTexas nonprofits for programs and projects that will benefit local communities in the counties of Lubbock and Hockley. Funding may be used towards operational expenses and capital projects. Areas of interest for funding include youth services, arts and culture, community-based education, and other areas of community improvement.
Goals:
- The Lubbock community will develop and maintain the necessary resources to sustain a vibrant and rich arts community.
- Community-based educational endeavors will thrive through the creation of innovative and practical strategies for learning which are available and accessible to all members of the community.
- Programs which build resiliency and promote quality of life for individuals and communities will be available to members of the Lubbock community regardless of race/ethnicity, religion, gender, age, nation of origin, disability, or hardship.
The J.T. and Margaret Talkington Foundation exists to enhance and benefit the Lubbock community through investments which make the community a better place to live and work for all individuals and families.
