Grants to Indiana nonprofit organizations for programs and projects that bring benefit to Tippecanoe County and the surrounding counties. Proposed projects should address a community need and significantly impact the Greater Lafayette community. There are two separate grant opportunities with different priority areas and deadlines.
Community Grants - Funding is provided for in three cycles, each of varied grant amounts and with different due dates. The community grants typically fund capital items. Start-up projects or programs are also eligible. The Community Foundation's six priority areas are:
- Education
- Children/Youth
- Health
- Diversity
- Physical Environment
- Arts and Culture
Field of Interest Grants - In addition, the Foundation also has a category called field of interest. These grants are used to fund those requests that align with a specific purpose (literacy, community beautification, etc). The field of interest grants can be used for capital or program expenses.
Cancer Care (Esther L. McConnaughay Endowment)
- Funding to provide support for the treatment of cancer; cancer research; cancer detection of/care of treating cancer; advancement of cancer programs

Elder Care (Indiana Care Circle Endowment)
- Enhance continuity of care as an essential component of the health care delivery system in Tippecanoe County, Indiana

- Funding to provide food, shelter, or other basic necessities for life

Music Education for Disadvantaged Children (Louisa Lee France Endowment)
- Provide music education for disadvantaged children in Tippecanoe County, Indiana

Suicide Prevention (Suicide Prevention Endowment)
- Provide support for: educational materials, including books and other materials; conferences, workshops and seminars; and to fund expert speakers on the topic of youth suicide prevention
