Grants to South Carolina organizations to enhance local tourism in eligible locations. The purpose of the program is to encourage activities and events that will increase the number of tourists traveling to the area from outside the county. Eligible activities must take place in Beaufort County.

Schedule
- Monday, August 23, 2021: News release distributed announcing application process; 2% State Accommodations Tax application available online.
- Friday, October 8, 2021: 2% State Accommodations Tax applications due by 5 p.m. and sent to State Accommodations Tax Board
- Monday, October 18, 2021: Finance Committee determines allocation of funds
- Tuesday, October 26, 2021: Applicant Interviews before the State Accommodations Tax Board
- Friday, November 5, 2021: State ATAX Board finalize recommendations
- Monday, November 15, 2021: State ATAX Board recommendations presented to Finance Committee
- Monday, December 13, 2021: Finance Committee recommendations presented to Beaufort County Council

- Failure to appear at your interview will result in zero allocation.
- Applicants who have not received the interview schedule by Thursday, October 21, 2021 should email program staff.
- Applicants are responsible for confirming receipt of their entire application package prior to the deadline.
