Grants to Minnesota nonprofit organizations for economic development projects and programs that will help communities thrive and grow. Funding will be provided for proposals that address one or more of the following areas:

(1) Economic Empowerment - Building strong economies through entrepreneurship development and small business education;

(2) Creating Tomorrow’s Workforce - Programs that help low-income high school students pursue post-secondary education; tutoring programs; and work skills and continuing education for adults with limited incomes; and

(3) Promoting Financial Literacy - Through economic education programs and/or personal finance education.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Qualifying nonprofits are those with a primary mission that meets one of the Deluxe Foundation’s grant focus areas. In addition, nonprofits must:
- Have obtained tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) or 509(a)(1), (2), or (3).
- Have operated as a nonprofit for at least two years.
- Have secured support from other corporate funders.

NOT ELIGIBLE:
- Individuals
- Organizations without 501(c)(3) tax-exemption determination letters
- Sponsorships (e.g., events, conferences, fundraisers)
- Advertising
- Political organizations or projects
- Lobbying efforts
- Fraternal organizations
- Religious programs
- Research
- Travel expenses
- Start-up programs
- Athletic or recreational programs
- Housing
- Civic organizations
- Health, including: hospitals, patient care, specific health issues
