Grants to Hartford, Connecticut nonprofit organizations to provide quality healthcare, human services, and educational programs for underserved populations. Funding may be requested primarily for program or project support. Operating support for qualifying organizations may also be considered.

Term of Contract:

Grants from the Robinson Fund are one year in duration. Applicants will not be awarded a grant for more than 3 consecutive years.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Nonprofit organizations must have a principal office located in the City of Hartford, Connecticut.

Grant requests for capital projects will not be considered.

The Foundation typically does not provide support for start-up nonprofits or programs that are not yet established. However, the Foundation is open to discussing possible opportunities with you.

Pre-Application Information:

The Charles Nelson Robinson Fund has an annual deadline of February 15.

Please submit online applications by 11:59 p.m. on the day of the Foundation’s deadline date. If the deadline falls on a weekend or a federally recognized holiday, applications are due on the next business day by 11:59 p.m.

Online grant applications will be accepted 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, generally on, or prior to the proposal due date. However, applicant inquiries can only be answered during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. EST. Please be advised that technical support is not provided on weekends for password resets or general technical inquiries. Therefore it is best to start your application early, seek technical support during business hours, and to submit your application in advance of the due date

Applicants will be notified of grant decisions by letter within 2 to 3 months of the proposal deadline.
