Grants of up to $500 and grants of up to $10,000 to New Jersey nonprofit organizations, associations, societies, and individuals in eligible locations for history, culture, and arts activities that benefit local residents. Funding is intended to increase the impact and visibility of local and county history, the arts, culture, goals, and traditions of the community. All grantees receiving over $2,000 must demonstrate a countywide benefit as a result of the grant. Eligible applicants are located in Hunterdon County.
Special Project Grants: The goals and objectives of the Special Project grant awards include, but are not limited to:
Mini Grants: Hunterdon County Cultural & Heritage Commission will award Mini Grants to nongovernmental organizations. Special Project Grant guidelines, terms and conditions apply, with two exceptions.

Mini Grants: Up to five mini-grants will be awarded.
Funding is TBD but anticipated to remain level for 2022 at $22,500
- Special Projects Grants: Funding requests are limited to $10,000. For organizations with budgets $10,000 and lower, funding requests are limited to no more than 20% of your annual budget.
- Mini Grants: $500
Availability of Funds: June 2022 (or after County Budget is approved)
Funding Period: April 1 - December 31, 2022
If the project cannot be completed by December 31, 2022, the grantee is required to submit a written request for an extension by 3:00pm, November 16, 2022. Project extension requests are subject to approval by the Commission.
