Grants to Western Wisconsin nonprofit and charitable organizations for the creation of new gardens and/or for garden reconstruction projects. Funding will be awarded based on the evaluation of the following criteria: the impact of the project on a large group of people; educational benefits for youth or adults; plans for ongoing maintenance and sustainability; and providing volunteer opportunities for other gardeners.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The Uplands Garden Club is a non-profit organization of gardening enthusiasts based in Iowa County in the "Uplands" area of Southwestern Wisconsin. They welcome funding requests related to nonprofit charitable gardens, both new and reconstruction projects.

Pre-Application Information:

Grants are awarded twice a year. Grant applications must be submitted before March 1 for the grants to be awarded by March 31. Second Grant applications must be submitted by July 1 for grants to be awarded by August 15.

Plans and pictures are recommended but not required. Grant application approval will be based on the number submitted and funds available for projects that will benefit the community from young to the elderly.
