Grants of up to $1,500 to Ashtabula, Columbiana, Trumbull and Mahoning Counties, Ohio PreK-12 teachers or teams of teachers for programs that augment learning and improve outcomes in classrooms. Priorities include projects that connect creative and innovative practice to student achievement and school improvement and that develop partnerships between schools, classrooms, businesses and community partners.
The application process requires teachers to focus on a few specific areas - while promoting the opportunity to be creative and innovative. The four specific goal areas of the grant program include:
1) Kindergarten Readiness
2) 3rd Grade Reading Proficiency
3) 8th Grade Math Proficiency
4) Postsecondary/Career Readiness
