The Associated: Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore

Agency: Foundation

GrantWatch ID #147302

Grant Description

Grants to Maryland nonprofit Jewish organizations and congregations for innovative activities that enhance Jewish education in eligible locations. Priority will be given to projects and programs focusing on informal Jewish education, as well as to those designed for children over the age of 13, college students, or families with school-age children. The Jacob & Hilda Blaustein Fund for the Enrichment of Jewish Education was established to provide funding for programs and activities that enrich informal Jewish education in the Greater Baltimore area.

Guidelines

  • Priority will be given to projects that focus on informal Jewish education.
  • Support will be provided for programs that are innovative and enriching for your organization.
  • Priority will be directed to projects for children over the age of 13, college students, or families with school-age children.
  • Support will be given to new, promising programs for one year with the opportunity to reapply the following year. Repeat funding for any project is contingent upon the receipt of an evaluation of the program up to that point.
  • Projects that include matching funds provided by the sponsoring organization and demonstrate an organization’s ability to sustain the program beyond the grant year will be viewed favorably.
  • Programs that are collaborative among different organizations are encouraged.
