Grants of up to $250 to Wayne County, Michigan K-12 educators in public, private, parochial, or charter schools for the implementation of special projects or a purchase or equipment, books or supplies that benefit students in the Downriver area. Grants can be used for classroom projects, equipment, educational software, special books or materials.

Funds are intended for projects that would not otherwise be covered by school budgets.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The program is open to all certified teachers who live, work, or worship in one of the Downriver communities including: Allen Park, Brownstown Township, Ecorse, Flat Rock, Gibraltar, Grosse Ile, Huron Township, Lincoln Park, Melvindale, River Rouge, Riverview, Rockwood, Romulus, Southgate, Taylor, Trenton, Woodhaven and Wyandotte in Wayne County.

Teachers must be certified K-12 educators serving in public, private, parochial, or charter schools.
