City of Ferndale
Grants to Washington nonprofits, agencies, and for-profits in eligible areas for projects that encourage cultural activities and local tourism. Funding is intended to cover operational or capital costs of city-owned facilities; promotional activities, such as marketing or advertising; or the operation of non-city run special events, festivals, or activities. Eligible activities attract visitors to Ferndale.
The law allows the use of lodging tax revenues in either of two broad categories: tourism promotion or tourism-related facilities.
Seed money that will help establish the activity, program, event, organization, or facility which will later function successfully on its own is preferred.
