Grants ranging from $2,500 to $25,000 to USA student chapters of the funding source organization for community service projects and campus improvements. Applicants may learn more by attending the November 17 or November 19 webinars. Priority will be given to applicants who can outline their project by planning and implementing a project or event that will allow them to use the tools or skills obtained due to receiving a grant.
The best proposed projects will detail the partnership with the local Lowe’s as well as show how the outcome will provide a life-changing experience for the SkillsUSA students involved and the beneficiaries of the grant dollars.
In addition, Lowe’s is looking to engage SkillsUSA students and teachers with their local Lowe’s staff. Developing a relationship between the SkillsUSA chapter or technical school and one or more local Lowe’s stores is another key component of the grant selection process.
Grants can be used during spring or fall semesters, but all must be completed by November 30, 2015.
