Grants of up to $5,000 to Texas nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for charitable projects that meet the needs of local communities. Funding is intended for programs and activities in the focus areas of community services, food and shelter, education and literacy, sports and youth, and arts, humanities, and history. Eligible programs benefit the residents of Fayette County. Participation in the annual Spring Charity Gala is critical for determining potential funding.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for funding, organizations must:
- Be located in or provide services for Fayette County, Texas;
- Have been in existence for at least one year;
- Be a certified nonprofit organization; and
- Have a current 501(c)(3) designation by the I.R.S.

If an organization conducts a fundraiser on the same date as the TWL Annual Spring Charity Gala (held annually on the first Saturday of March), it may not be eligible for funding.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications are due by September 15, 2021.

- Gala Prep Week: February 27 – March 5, 2022
- Gala Date: Saturday, March 5, 2022

Members of the applicant organization will support TWL’s Spring Charity Gala as follows:
- Donate 1 or more auction item(s), each with a minimum value of $100, or give a financial donation of a minimum of $100 to be used to purchase items for auction.
- Provide a minimum of 5 volunteer hours on behalf of a charity.
a. Sunday, February 27, 2022 – minimum of 1 hour required for delivery of gala supplies and/or cleaning/preparation of gala facility
b. Tuesday, March 1 thru Friday, March 4, 2022 – minimum of 2 hours for preparation/installation of decorations at the gala facility
c. Sunday, March 6, 2022 – minimum of 1 hour required for takedown/storage of decorations and clean up the gala facility
d. Other special skills as needed to be approved by the TWL Board of Directors
- Sell 25 pre-event raffle tickets at $5.00 totaling $125 on behalf of your charity. Tickets will be distributed at the Fall Dinner on October 6, 2021, or mailed to the address listed on this application.
