Grants to Maryland individuals for public outdoor beautification projects that take place within eligible neighborhoods. Funding is intended to support the planting of shrubbery, flowers, and trees, the creation and maintenance of flower beds, and the beautification of existing tree wells. Eligible projects are those that improve public spaces in Bolton Hill.

Estimated Size of Grant:

In the past, requests have ranged from as little as $100 to several hundred dollars.

Term of Contract:

Receipts should be submitted as soon as the project is completed for timely reimbursement. All receipts must be submitted by April 15th the following year or the funds will be reallocated to other projects.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Anyone who is interested in improving a public space within Bolton Hill is eligible.

This program does not fund hardscape, landscapers, large quantities of mulch, tools, equipment or labor costs.

The Garden Club no longer funds the construction of raised tree well beds.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications for projects must be submitted by May 10th; grants will be awarded by June 1st.

If a project is awarded a grant, grantees will be reimbursed upon submitting purchase receipts and a photo of the completed project.
